HD Korea Shipbuilding & Marine Engineering wins 137.2 billion won order for two PC ships

HD Korea Shipbuilding & Offshore Engineering, a shipbuilding intermediate holding company under HD Hyundai, announced on the 7th that it had recently signed a contract with a European shipping company to build two petrochemical ships (PC ships). The total order amount is 137.2 billion won.

The two PC ships ordered this time will be built by HD Hyundai Vietnam Shipbuilding & Offshore Engineering Co., Ltd. and are scheduled to be delivered in December 2027.
Including this order, HD Korea Shipbuilding & Offshore Engineering Co., Ltd. has so far received a total of 110 ships (including one offshore facility) orders worth US$12 billion, completing 88.9% of its annual order target of US$13.5 billion.

By ship type, there are 8 liquefied natural gas (LNG) carriers, 46 PC ships, 36 liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) and ammonia carriers, 1 ethane carrier, 2 liquefied carbon dioxide carriers, 6 very large crude carriers (VLCCs), including 3 ships, 2 PCTCs, 1 floating storage and regasification unit (FSRU), 1 offshore facility and 4 special ships.
